Wow!  Has it been three years since my last blog post.  I can't believe it.  So much has happened since then; a new job, graduate school (again!), and a move back to New York City! That explains my absence for so long.  Knitting, crocheting, and other crafts have been on the back burner as I work on getting these new adventures in my life in order.  I have finished a couple of small projects, but nothing too complicated.  I do know someone close to me that is having a baby so I started not one, but two baby blankets.  The first one is one that I have made many times. Below I included a picture of two of them that I did and the babies (now 2 and 5 years old) wrapped up in the blankets (Pinwheel baby blanket.)

Aren't Kate & Liam adorable in their blankets?

The other blanket is the cute teddy bear merino 5 baby blanket.  The mom is decorating the baby's bedroom with teddy bears so I just had to do it.  It requires some thinking because of the charts, but I'm using only one color so that minimizes the complication.  I'm planning on adding a chocolate border (crocheted) to the edges based on tips  from www.ravelry.com project comments. It should keep the edges from curling if the seed stitches aren't enough.

All this and I am studying for comprehensive exams and catching up on paperwork at my summer job and regular job.  Good thing the blankets are not needed until the end of the year!

I'll try to stop in now and then to catch you up on the progress of the blankets, but there is not much time for crafts with 2 full-time jobs (work and school).  Until then...

Happy Knitting & Crocheting!
